Is the higher the molecular weight of polyacrylamide (PAM), the better? Experiments and the use of our customers have proved that this is not the case. Whether polyacrylamide is anionic, cationic or nonionic, molecular weight is an important reference indicator.
The molecular weight of polyacrylamide is generally 8 million to 20 million. Since there is no specific national indicator for PAM, most of them now follow the enterprise standard. Normally, the higher the molecular weight, the higher the quality of the product. However, due to the specific conditions of sewage, it is slightly different in different places. When using it specifically, a small test must be carried out in advance to determine the specific dosage, indicators, etc. If you only refer to the molecular weight to select a high molecular weight, it is very likely that the viscosity will be very high when stirring, affecting the specific use, etc.
In addition to referring to the molecular weight, choose the ionic type and hydrolysis degree according to the specific purpose. Avoid the situation of some customers and friends. Obviously, the price of the product I bought is higher than the general price and the test content is also high, but the effect is not good when used specifically.
